Do I need an account?
No. Spend Freeze has no sign-in. Open the app and start freezing things.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. You type in what you want to buy and, if you like, its price. Your freezer stays on your phone. Read the privacy policy for details.
What’s free and what’s paid?
You can keep up to 2 items in the freezer for free. Unlimited items is a subscription: $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. Prices may vary by country.
How do I restore my purchase or cancel my subscription?
In the app, open Rules, then Settings, privacy and your data. Tap Restore purchases, or tap Manage or cancel subscription. You can also cancel any time in your iPhone’s Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Spend Freeze. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
I didn’t get a notification when my item thawed.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap Notifications, choose Spend Freeze, and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Also check that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t silencing it. The item will still show as thawed inside the app.
How do I back up my data or move to a new phone?
Your items are stored on your device. In the app, go to Rules, then Settings, privacy and your data, and tap Back up my data to save a copy. On the new phone, tap Restore from backup. A normal iPhone or iCloud restore also brings your freezer along.
How do I delete my data?
Open Rules, then Settings, privacy and your data, and tap Delete all my data. That erases everything Spend Freeze stored on your phone. Nothing is kept on our side, so there is nothing to delete elsewhere.
What is a no buy?
A no buy is a stretch of days where you buy only needs. Start one from the Home tab, pick the dates, and tap each day to check it off. If you slip, tap I slipped today and keep going.
