Spend Freeze Privacy Policy

Effective November 2, 2026. Updated November 3, 2026.

Spend Freeze is an app made by The Freedom Edit. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your freezer and no buy tracking stay on your phone. We never sell your information, and there are no ads or ad trackers in Spend Freeze. The only information that leaves your phone is purchase information needed to run your subscription, described below.

What stays on your phone

  • Your freezer. The items you add (a name, an optional price, and the freeze length you pick) and whether you let each one go or still wanted it.
  • Your wish list, savings total and settings.
  • Your no buy runs. Dates, check-offs and slips.

This information is saved on your device only. Spend Freeze has no accounts and no sign-in. It does not connect to your bank and does not ask for bank, card or account numbers. We do not receive or store your items on any server.

Purchases and subscriptions

Spend Freeze is free for up to 2 items. Unlimited items is an optional auto-renewing subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card or Apple ID details.

To confirm whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID (not your name or email), your purchase history for Spend Freeze, and basic device and app details such as app version and country. We use this only to unlock your subscription and to understand how purchases are working. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or tracking across other apps. RevenueCat’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Spend Freeze schedules reminders on your device, for example when an item thaws. These are created and delivered locally by your iPhone. No notification service on our side is involved, and you can turn them off any time in Settings.

Sharing

We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to build marketing profiles. Your items never leave your phone, so there is nothing to share. The only outside services involved are Apple (the App Store and TestFlight, under Apple’s own privacy policy) and RevenueCat (purchases only, as described above). If you choose Back up my data, the backup file goes wherever you send it, such as Files or iCloud Drive. That is your choice.

Your choices

  • See and change your items any time in the app.
  • Back up or restore your data from Rules, then Settings, privacy and your data.
  • Delete your data from Rules, then Settings, privacy and your data, then Delete all my data. You can also delete the app from your iPhone.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in the app or in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name and Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Turn off reminders in your iPhone’s Settings, under Notifications.

Children

Spend Freeze is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
